I’m honored to have been asked to be the one to kick off this very cool series of Asbury Park Storytellers at the gallery where John’s rock photography is being featured. Each concert will be an intimate performance by an artist that John has photographed through the years as they play songs and tell stories of the music scene and their part in it and how it influenced the style and the songs they’ve written.
For me, it’s also about growing up here, leaving for Nashville, and then returning home with fresh eyes. I call my journey, “The Jersey Girl Version of The Wizard of Oz.”
The audience will have a chance to ask the artist questions and there will be a meet and greet after the performance.
Tickets are $10 general admission and $25 VIP (only a few VIP left!). Available now at the Asbury Park Where Music Lives Gallery. Visit or call 732-775-8900 During gallery operating hours (Sat’s noon to 7pm, Sun’s noon to 6pm).
Tickets will soon be available online as well. Stay tuned for more info on that.
